I have recently purchased a mid 1960's us Burke millrite. However the (y) table screw backlash is over . 025". I was able to find the split nut on the X axis and was able to reduce that free play to under. 005". The manual I downloaded from the internet is not very discriptive. This machine has a power feed on both the table and the quil.

Millrites came with 3 phase motors, and they typically sell for less money than the 110V machines do. The rubber belt takes up any small amount of motor vibration, and I have never seen any vibration problems like you might see on a lathe. My motor is 3/4 old school HP, and it does not bog down on heavier work. Very nice machines for the home shop.
