In the last few days I built the bench that will eventually hold the Benchmaster with the Bridgeport M Head. Currently it holds my newly restored Delta "Homelite" 11″ drill press, which is a "good enough" drill press to do the simple things not worth lining up on the mill. (Also, I use a tapping head a lot for a part I make regularly.)

I've made PC boards on a Chineseium router and had to use leveling add ons to get anything like what I needed. Previous posts are correct. The Benchmaster is an MT2 taper . Good thing here because a lathe and two drill presses here are MT2. The only bugger is the minor milling operation on the bottom of the table to get clearance for the ball nut.

My favorite one is the CNC mill I built from an old 1954 Benchmaster mill. It's heavy duty and very rigid. It works excellent and I run it with Mach3. The mill is old and uses worn out ACME lead screws. This is not ideal for a CNC machine so I had to upgrade the lead screws to ball screws.
