The Grizzly G8689 Mini Mill (or mini milling machine) has a cast iron table to hold and move the work material against the bit. Using traditional milling bits that fit the 3/8″ and 1/2″ collets, you can drill into or take away material to form your piece. In this way, you can remove entire areas of metal to create the custom shape.
Description. This drawbar fits the Grizzly G8689 and the Micro-Mark 82573 mini mills with the 3 Morse taper spindle, and is for use with collets and end mill holders with 3/8-16 NC thread. These mini mill drawbars are custom made for LittleMachineShop. *NOTE*: this is not the original drawbar for these machines.

The typical Sieg X2 mini-mill [HF 44991, Grizzly G8689, Micro-Mark & others] has a lot of backlash in the Z-axis.In my case it was .053-inches, which was almost a full turn of the fine-adjust knob. I heard that putting a shim behind the rack on the column would help by causing it to mesh tighter with the pinion gear in the head.

Hi,I've got a G8689 and paid around 650.00 new and 80.00 for shipping so I would say 375.00 aint bad if everything is in good order but it seams to me that I'm always fix or replacing something and adjusting but it still is a good little mill but I can see a bigger one in the future.For 375.00 you can't go wrong .
