It is easy to setup and grind a recoil pad while keeping the toe and heel angles correct. I set my angles with the pad on the fixture since the pad varied in thickness. I just followed the instructions in the manual and it was pretty easy to set up. Make sure the bolt holding the angle for the toe grinding is very tight so the fixture doesn't move.
